More and more devices are supported by KooRaRoo

With almost every update (which come out at regular intervals) KooRaRoo fine-tunes its support for more and more DLNA-compatible devices. Out-of-the-box, KooRaRoo will work with any DLNA device, but for the best experience it provides specific device definitions that fully describe a device.

If you have a device that doesn't yet have a specific device profile, please contact http://support.kooraroo.com and we'll create a profile for you!

One of our users has sent in a great video showing how he can use KooRaRoo to easily organize and stream videos to his Xbox360.

Take a look:

KooRaRoo now supports burned-in subtitles!

As promised, KooRaRoo Media will now allow you to burn subtitles in your language and using a chosen font style, size and color, on top of the video if your device doesn't support streaming external (SRT, SMI, SUB) subtitles. This will allow you to watch foreign movies with ease and also learn a new language perhaps! The first version of KooRaRoo to support this is 1.4.0 - see this forum post regarding full release notes: http://forum.kooraroo.com/showthread.php/189-KooRaRoo-Media-v1-4-0-is-now-available

Enjoy!

Burned-in subtitles are coming to KooRaRoo

One feature that is often requested is the ability to burn external subtitles (such as SRT, SMI or SUB files) on top of the video to show these subtitles on devices that don't natively support external subtitles (or subtitles as embedded streams).

I am happy to say that initial development of this feature is complete and I'm looking for more testers to try it out.

If you are interested, please e-mail support (at) kooraroo (dot) com and I'll send you a copy of KooRaRoo to try it out.

Oh, and a Happy New Year to all! :)
